Owner Andy Ullrich purchased his first pharmacy in 1984 with a simple goal: to provide the kind of pharmacy care that feels personal, familiar, and dependable. That commitment continues today, shaping everything we do at Hawthorne Drugs.

Meet the Owner
Andy Ullrich, RPh
Andy Ullrich was born in Cuba in 1953 and came to the United States in 1966 through the historic Freedom Flights. He grew up in East Point, Georgia, where he attended high school before moving to Athens to attend the University of Georgia on a football scholarship.
Andy graduated from the University of Georgia in 1977 and went on to purchase his first pharmacy in 1984 — beginning a lifelong commitment to community pharmacy and personalized care. For over four decades, he has remained dedicated to serving patients with integrity, compassion, and a strong belief in the value of personal relationships.
Family has always been at the heart of Andy’s life and work. He especially enjoys spending time with his nine grandchildren and believes that the same care and attention he gives his family should extend to every patient who walks through the doors at Hawthorne Drugs. Customer service is a cornerstone of the pharmacy, and Andy takes pride in helping ensure every patient feels known, valued, and well cared for.
